Jaimee Smith is an award-winning hairstylist, artistic educator, leader, entrepreneur, and passionate beauty professional. From a young age, she was immersed in the beauty industry, and it was clear that it was her calling—her greatest inspiration being her grandmother, also a hairstylist.
Jaimee began her career in Dallas, TX, in 1987, where she honed her craft and built a loyal clientele. Her versatile skill set allows her to work with all hair types and textures, specializing in hair color, cutting, styling, and finishing. She particularly enjoys editorial styling and working with natural textures.
With over 20 years at JCPenney Salon, Jaimee has worn many hats: from Artistic Lead Educator and Regional Education Leader to Design Team member. As Sr. Manager of Education & Services, she leads a team of Salon Field Trainers, overseeing education and training for over 600 salons nationwide. Jaimee is deeply committed to empowering other professionals in the industry and believes in the endless potential to move the beauty industry forward.
A dedicated mentor and collaborator, Jaimee is passionate about empowering others to reach their goals and fostering growth in the industry. At the heart of her work, she champions diversity and inclusivity, understanding the crucial role she plays in using her voice and platform to promote a more inclusive standard of beauty.
In addition to her education roles, Jaimee has extensive experience as a lead stylist for editorial shoots, runway shows, and photo shoots. She has worked alongside some of the industry’s top artists, continually expanding her knowledge and collaborating with other creatives.
Jaimee’s artistry has earned accolades from prestigious awards, including the North American Hairstylist Awards (NAHA) and Global Image Awards (GIA). Her work has been featured in top industry publications, celebrating her creativity and dedication to the craft.
